Naperville, Illinois

On May 10, 2007, Stephen named Naperville his Hometown Hero Town for the following display of good old American business sense:

Too drunk to drive? Don't want to leave your car at the bar? In Naperville, Illinois you can schedule a tow home from a bar for you and your car for just $65.00. Or for $85.00 you can get liquored up without a reservation.

Thank you Naperville for the rare feat of promoting road saftey and binge drinking at the same time.

Bryce Canyon City, UtahEdit

Bryce Canyon City, Utah was founded July 23rd, 2007 at around noon, when resort owner Rod Syrett, proprietor of Ruby's Inn Family Resort used a new state law to incorporate the resort's campgrounds, hotels, and giftshops[1]. The resort's attractions include the beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park and the World's Largest Loophole.

According to the law, at least 100 people need to be year round residents of the town, and Bryce Canyon City has a population of 138, all of whom either work at the resort or are relatives of Syrett, whom they elected as the town's first mayor. The title gives the town access to approximately $300,000 in sales tax annually.

Stephen Colbert used to example to found his own town, Colbert Report City.
